There are six points on the wrists that correspond to each of the five organ systems identified on the 5 Element Chart found in the center of the booklet. There are six because the Water Element relating to Kidneys and Bladder has two pulse points, where as the other systems have one. The vitality of each system is identified by the quality of the pulse. When a pulse point is weak or excessively strong the system it represents is considered out of balance. An imbalance indicates emotional stress and/or health complications. By learning to read your pulses and directing the Toggle Technique on the emotions that affect each system you can improve your overall health, one system at a time, and the improvement can be felt right at your finger tips. Follow the steps to monitoring and improving your own system.
1. Place the first three fingers of the right hand on the left wrist in the positions indicated on the picture chart provided.
2. Focusing on one finger at a time to feel the underlying pulse. Note the quality, paying attention to the stronger pulses and weaker pulses.
3. Look at the picture and identify which element or Organ system is out of balance by noting which point is the weakest. The chart will indicate the emotional range that is associated with your weak pulse.
4. Next, close your eyes and notice pressure and emotional discomfort that is evident when the weak pulse point is pressed. The feeling that arises will most likely correspond to the emotions indicated on the 5 Element Chart. For example: The Fire pulse point weakness will feel like anxiousness, the Wood pulse point can feel like irritation or frustration etc.
5. Keeping your eyes closed focus on the feeling that arises while you are putting pressure on the weakest pulse point. As you become aware of the emotion or pressure that emerges, focus your attention on that feeling and Toggle it in until the feeling disappears. When the Toggle is complete you will notice a strong pulse has replaced the previously weak pulse. Proceed to the next two points and then the next wrist and repeat process.
6. If, when you put pressure on a pulse point it feels strong and you do not notice any discomfort react to the pressure, then this indicates the targeted system is strong already. Move to the next point and repeat the process on both wrists until all six points have been evaluated and strengthened.
